Description

This volume contains up-to-date information about the biological diversity of all the mammal species present in Chile, along with their biological and ecological characteristics (diet, behaviour, reproduction, habitat etc.), as well as information on distribution, conservation status and threats to survival. It includes information about exotic mammal species which have been introduced into Chilean ecosystems, and how these may affect native flora and fauna. More than 1,400 photographs and illustrations are included, giving a very clear vision of the main morphological and anatomical characteristics of Chilean mammals.
