Description

This book is an exhaustive compilation of data on the birds of the Catalan-speaking lands that has been collected since 1985. All of the officially observed and recorded species are dealt with, including both the 511 taxa of the 436 species of local fauna, and the almost 100 taxa of exotic species observed in this region.

Such information as the species’ scientific name, the common names used in each of the various Catalan-speaking lands, the status of each species and the areas where they have been observed are provided. The book also lists complete citations of rarities and indicates which subspecies can be found in the areas covered. A standard list separating local from exotic species is also included.
